Michelle Rowland MP, Federal Member for Greenway, has expressed her condolences to the family of Russ Gorman, former Member for Greenway, who passed away on 3 January, 2017 aged 90. 

Russ was first elected as the Member for Chifley in 1983 before moving to the new seat of Greenway in 1984, which he held until his retirement in 1996.

Ms Rowland said Russ worked hard for the Labor Party and for the Blacktown City area before his move to Federal Parliament in 1984.

“Russ was very active in the local community and a great support to so many people in the Greenway area, including community groups and local organisations. He’ll be fondly remembered by so many,” Ms Rowland said.
