NBN SWITCHED ON IN BLACKTOWN AND RIVERSTONE

More areas in Western Sydney are getting access to the National Broadband Network’s (NBN) reliable, high-speed broadband thanks to the Rudd Labor Government.

An additional 4,000 homes in Blacktown have been passed by NBN fibre this week and NBN fibre services have been switched on to 700 premises in Riverstone.

The NBN fibre network has now passed 6,100 homes and businesses across Blacktown and Riverstone.

Federal Member for Greenway, Michelle Rowland, said having the NBN live in Riverstone means local businesses will have a competitive advantage.

“The NBN will transform the way we live, work and learn and getting connected now means local businesses in Riverstone and Blacktown will have a competitive advantage.

“It opens up huge opportunities for our community, including the creation of local jobs. It means reduced costs for families and the opportunity to improve productivity for our businesses,” said Ms Rowland.

Households and businesses can look forward to competitive services with a great range of plans and providers available.
