Protecting Medicare

Labor created Medicare, and Australians know we will always protect it.

Our $750m Strengthening Medicare Fund will make it easier for Australians to see a doctor and access the healthcare Australians need. 

We're also helping Australians save $118 million on their prescriptions through our new 60 Day Dispensing policy.

This will halve the cost of medicines for more than 6 million Australians, including pensioners, who are living with an ongoing health condition.
