AUSTRALIA POST PRINTED THEN SHREDDED 6 MILLION FLYERS WHICH BLAMED POSTIES FOR FLETCHER’S CUTS
 

Paul Fletcher officially has a dumpster fire on his hands.
 
Australia Post has today been caught trying to cover up the printing and destruction of 6 million cleverly worded postcards that sought to attribute Minister Fletcher’s cuts to mail services as an initiative of “your local postie”!
 
When insulted posties began receiving the flyers they refused to deliver them.
 
In August, journalists at the Australian were assured only 30,000 of these dodgy postcards had been designed, printed and pulped.
 
However, a month later, shortly before 32 written Questions from Labor Senators to the Government were due, Australia Post dramatically revised its statement from 30,000 postcards to 6,000,000 million — a 200-fold increase.
 
How exactly do 5,970,000 postcards go unnoticed?
 
This was not some innocent mistake, but rather a failed cover-up which the Senate will examine in full.
 
This bungled arse covering exercise for Minister Fletcher’s mail cuts has wasted $168,000 of taxpayers money.
 
Minister Fletcher and the CEO have been spreading misinformation in their attempt to use COVID-19 as an excuse to cut 1 in 4 postie jobs.
 
Labor will continue to hold this second-rate Minister to account for the rampant waste of taxpayer money in his portfolio.
