MEDIA RELEASE - AUSTRALIA RANKS LAST FOR BROADBAND SATISFACTION - 25 OCTOBER 2017

25 October 2017

A new Ipsos survey reports Australia has been ranked last out of 28 countries when it comes to broadband satisfaction.

Only 32 per cent rated the quality of Australia's broadband fairly or very good, which was down 6 percentage points compared with a year ago, and well below the international average of 56 per cent.

“This is an alarming wake-up call for a Prime Minister who is hopelessly out of touch with the lived experience of internet users”, Ms Rowland said.

“Malcolm Turnbull was tasked with demolishing the NBN — this Ipsos survey suggests he is meeting his KPI.”

Australians don’t want another lecture from this Prime Minister about why they have to endure a second-rate NBN.

Unless the Prime Minister demonstrates he is willing to take responsibility, things will go from bad to worse for Australian consumers.
