 MINISTER’S SUDDEN PANIC ON CAPTEL A FUNCTION OF FAILED PLANNING
 

Today’s eleventh-hour lunge by the Minister to intervene in the National Relay Service transition is the latest evidence of this Government’s mishandling of CapTel.
 
The Minister thought he could just brush off concerns about CapTel and now finds himself running around in a panic.
 
This is what happens when you don’t listen to the community.
 
This is what happens when you fail to plan adequately.
 
The Government and the current provider have had since June 2017 to resolve these issues. They both have explaining to do.
 
Labor has been raising community concerns with the Minister in Question Time and his arrogant responses are angering many in the community.
 
Elderly deaf Australians who rely on CapTel deserve much better than this.
