Got an idea that will benefit the local community, but need some funding?
Federal Member for Greenway, Michelle Rowland has announced that a new round of community funding under the Stronger Communities Program has opened.
Grant applications can be made from $5,000 up to $20,000 and must be matched in money terms or in kind by the organisation.
Ms Rowland said she is inviting local community organisations to come forward with ideas on how to improve the local area through the second round of the Program.
“I am keen to hear from members of the community about local projects that could benefit from a funding boost,” Ms Rowland said.
Successful grants will be awarded for equipment and/or infrastructure which will benefit the community.
Round 2 is a two stage process. Firstly, all applications will be reviewed by a local committee and then successful organisations will be invited to make a formal application. Formal processing of this application will be undertaken by the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development who will give final approval for all projects.
Expressions of interest for these grants can be made by emailing [email protected] or by mail to PO Box 868, Seven Hills 1730 by the 11 March 2016 in order to meet the application timeframe.
Any supporting documentation would be much appreciated including sketches, plans and pricing lists.
