TONY ABBOTT SILENT ON ROGUE BACKBENCH

Tony Abbott has failed to pull his rogue backbench into line over their remarks on the Burqa.

It is not good enough for him to talk tolerance, and yet give members of his own side free reign to push socially divisive arguments.

This is a prejudicial folly from some members of his backbench which they are masquerading as a security matter.

Now, more than ever, we need to be fostering community harmony – every politician has a responsibility to promote inclusion and respect. We need the whole nation pulling together.

The Prime Minister has failed to pull his backbench into line and stop this divisive rhetoric.

Australia deserves better than silence from Tony Abbott.
