MEDIA RELEASE - NAPPY COLLECTIVE RUNNING THROUGHOUT MAY - 23 APRIL 2018

23 April 2018

Michelle Rowland is reaching out to local families with leftover unused nappies to donate them to the “Nappy Collective” initiative.

The Nappy Collective program runs Australia-wide with the aim of collecting hundreds of thousands of leftover disposable nappies. Donations will be sorted and distributed to women’s shelters, programs for homeless mothers and young mothers in need.

Through the support of parents and families across Australia, The Nappy Collective has collected over 2 million nappies to date.

The next collection begins on Friday 4 May and will run through until Friday 18 May 2018. Residents are invited to drop in their leftover unused nappies to Michelle Rowland’s office at 230 Prospect Highway, Seven Hills between 9am-5pm.

The services provided by The Nappy Collective are vital to supporting young Australian mothers at risk. Donations of any size will be welcomed, and will make a positive contribution to the lives of others.

“As a mum, I know there can often be nappies left over when children grow out of them”, Ms Rowland said.

“I encourage all residents to drop any left-over nappies to my office, which will go to local mothers who may be struggling and really need them,” Ms Rowland said.
