Stronger Communities Programme Round 10 – EOI Opening Soon

Community organisations across Greenway are invited to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for funding under the Australian Government's Stronger Communities Programme Round 10.

The Stronger Communities Programme provides funding for small capital projects that deliver lasting social benefits, encourage community participation, and help build stronger, more vibrant local communities. Up to 20 projects can be supported in each electorate, with grants ranging from $2,500 to $20,000. The maximum project value is $50,000.

EOIs for Greenway open on 1 October 2026 and close at 5.00pm on 30 October 2026

Local not-for-profit organisations, community groups and other eligible organisations with projects that benefit the Greenway community are encouraged to apply for consideration. Successful EOIs will be assessed by a local community consultation committee before projects are nominated to progress through the Commonwealth grant process. The programme operates through a community consultation and nomination process, with only nominated organisations able to submit a formal grant application.

What Can Be Funded?

Examples of eligible projects include:

Upgrades to community facilities and sporting grounds
Accessibility improvements such as disability access ramps and amenities
Women's and family facilities at community venues
Community equipment purchases
Energy efficiency and sustainability projects, including solar installations
Shade structures and climate resilience improvements
First Nations community and cultural projects
Veteran and memorial projects
Community health and wellbeing infrastructure projects

Grant Funding

Grants from $2,500 to $20,000
Up to 100% of eligible project costs for most applicants
- Up to 50% of eligible project costs for Local Government bodies
A maximum pool of $150,000 is available for a total of 20 projects across Greenway
The maximum project value is $50,000
Projects must be completed by 31 March 2028

Who Can Apply?

Eligible applicants include incorporated not-for-profit organisations, community associations, charities, Indigenous corporations, religious organisations, local governing bodies and certain emergency service organisations. Applicants must hold an Australian Business Number (ABN).
