MEDIA RELEASE - MORE THAN 1,500 NAPPIES COLLECTED IN GREENWAY FOR THE NAPPY COLLECTIVE! - 7 JUNE 2018

07 June 2018

Michelle Rowland MP, Federal Member for Greenway, has thanked local residents for their generous support of The Nappy Collective, with another rounds of donations sent off to The Nappy Collective!

Throughout May, Greenway residents collected and donated 1,527 nappies for the cause.

The Nappy Collective program runs Australia-wide and collects unused leftover nappies. These nappies are then sorted and distributed to women’s shelters, programs for homeless mothers and young parents in need.

With the help of supporters across Australia, The Nappy Collective has now collected and distributed over 2.2 million nappies.

“Thank you to everyone who has supported this initiative and taken the time to donate their leftover unused nappies,” Michelle Rowland MP said.

“Local residents have collected and donated thousands of nappies in the past few weeks, which will go a long way in helping parents and children in need.

“The Nappy Collective is a small but important way we can support young parents in need,” Ms Rowland said.
