SUPPORTING MULTICULTURAL EVENTS IN OUR COMMUNITY

Labor Member for Greenway, Michelle Rowland MP today announced that a re-elected Albanese Labor Government will deliver support through two election commitments for multicultural communities in Greenway.

The first election commitment is $30,000 to support the Afghan Community Support Association of NSW with community celebration and achievement projects, including Iftar, its annual camping trip, and community celebration and sporting events.

The second election commitment is $30,000 to support Vaishnav Sangh of Sydney with Hindu Cultural events, including the Gujarati Dance Festival (Garba), Annakut and Diwali.

This support will ensure these events continue to benefit the community, bringing together residents, families and children of all ages.

Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.
